A study of $e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilation into hadrons in the 1600-2200 MeV energy range with the magnetic detector DMI at DCI

We Presents the results obtained with the Magnetic Detector DM1 on the Orsay e/sup +/e/sup -/ colliding beams (DCI) for 1570< square root S<2180 MeV. The total integrated luminosity is 936 nb/sup -1/ over the whole energy range. Kinematics of annihilation events is determined by momentum measurements on the charged particles with an accuracy Delta p/p approximately=2.5% at 500 MeV/c over a solid angle Omega =.6*4 pi sr. Cross sections are given for e/sup +/e/sup -/ annihilation into pp, into four and five pions: pi /sup +/ pi /sup -/ pi /sup +/ pi /sup -/ including rho /sup +/ pi /sup +/ pi /sup -/, pi /sup +/ pi /sup -/ pi /sup +/ pi /sup -/ pi /sup 0/ including omega pi /sup +/ pi /sup - /, and into strange mesons K/sup +/K/sup -/, K/sub S//sup 0/K/sub L //sup 0/, KK*, KK pi pi including K*K pi , inclusive K/sub S//sup 0/. Limits on rare channels like baryonium states, phi /sup 0/ pi /sup 0/, phi /sup 0/ eta /sup 0/ are also obtained. (9 refs).
