| Sumario: | Further measurements of parity violating asymmetries in inelastic scattering of polarized electrons from deuterium have been made for a range of y values from 0.15 to 0.36. Only a small y-dependence is observed in the asymmetries. Using the quark-parton model the results are in good agreement with the Weinberg-Salam predictions. The author obtains a value of the parameter sin/sup 2/ theta /sub W /=0.224+or-0.020. (13 refs). |
