Sumario: | The helium plants described have a nominal capacity of 100 liters/hour or 400 Watts at 4.4K and can also be operated in mixed duty over the whole performance range. The plants feature oilfree labyrinth-piston compressors and turboexpanders with self-supporting gas bearings plus magnetic auxiliary bearings. The greatest peculiarity of the new plants is the first time combined use of cold and warm ejectors. (1 refs). |
