Sumario: | The shape of photomultiplier output pulses has been studied for two operating conditions; single-electron response (SER), and the case when the photomultiplier is associated with a scintillator. An accurate measurement of the SER mean pulse shape has been performed. The comparison of output pulse shapes when the PM is placed in a setup that is typical for most nuclear physics experiments showed a dependence of the pulse shape on the pulse amplitude. (3 refs). |
