description By making a Hermitian ansatz for the K-matrix and solving the resulting equation for the scattering amplitude the author derives a model for multiparticle production for which the amplitude can be given in explicit closed form. The amplitude satisfies many-particle unitarity exactly (there is a nonvanishing amplitude for the production of not more than N particles, where n is arbitrary but fixed). The requirement of Lorentz invariance is also satisfied. Analyticity properties are discussed and the elastic amplitude is shown to be the boundary value of a single analytic function of s (s being the centre-of-mass energy squared) having branch points at production thresholds. (7 refs).
