Sumario: | Absorptive corrections to a multiperipheral production amplitude are expected to introduce long-range correlations between the produced particles, and therefore to change substantially the characteristic features of multiperipheralism. The authors study the behaviour of the partial cross sections and of the inclusive distributions in the absorptive multiperipheral model recently proposed by Finkelstein and Zachariasen, and they compare with the one expected in regular multiperipheralism.
