The $^{-}$K nucleon interaction in K mesic atoms
A study of the K/sup -/ nucleon interaction is made as it pertains to the absorption of K/sup -/ mesons in nuclei. Effective interaction strengths are derived which yield good agreement with recent X-ray experiments that determine both the strong interaction energy shifts and widths. (14 refs).
