Sumario:In order to test the droplet model decisively accurate data at very high energies are required. Such data has recently become available at the CERN Intersecting Storage Rings. The authors present a calculation using the operator droplet model of the proton-proton total cross section and the ratio of the real to the imaginary part of the forward amplitude for all energies beyond 7 GeV/c. They also calculate values of the differential cross section slope parameter b(s, t) for all energies beyond 7 GeV/c and for all relevant t-values. (10 refs).
