description In order to test the droplet model decisively accurate data at very high energies are required. Such data has recently become available at the CERN Intersecting Storage Rings. The authors present a calculation using the operator droplet model of the proton-proton total cross section and the ratio of the real to the imaginary part of the forward amplitude for all energies beyond 7 GeV/c. They also calculate values of the differential cross section slope parameter b(s, t) for all energies beyond 7 GeV/c and for all relevant t-values. (10 refs).
