Single gamma -ray spectra from proton-proton collisions at centre-of- mass energies from 30 to 50 GeV
The energy spectra of single gamma -rays produced in proton-proton collisions at the CERN Intersecting Storage Rings have been measured at three primary energies and four production angles: E/sub CM/=30.2 GeV, 44.7 GeV and 52.7 GeV, /sup theta /CM =10.2/sup o/, 16.4/sup o/, 23.5/sup o/ and 90/sup o/...

Sumario: | The energy spectra of single gamma -rays produced in proton-proton collisions at the CERN Intersecting Storage Rings have been measured at three primary energies and four production angles: E/sub CM/=30.2 GeV, 44.7 GeV and 52.7 GeV, /sup theta /CM =10.2/sup o/, 16.4/sup o/, 23.5/sup o/ and 90/sup o/. The results are shown to be compatible with the conjecture of limiting distributions. A simple interpolation formula is presented. (10 refs). |
