description A study of 1824 e/sup +/e/sup -/ to e/sup +or-/e/sup -or+/ events in the total centre-of-mass energy range from 1.6 GeV to 2.0 GeV, allows one to establish that production angular distributions, acollinearity and acoplanarity distributions, and absolute value of the cross- sections and their energy-dependence, follow QED predictions including first-order radiative corrections. In particular, the absolute value of the cross-section and the power of its energy-dependence agree with theoretical expectations within +or-6% and +or-2%, respectively. The inadequacy of the peaking approximation in the experimental conditions of observations has been measured to be (2.8+or-0.4)%. (6 refs).
