Storage ring design II The design of e/sup +/-e/sup -/ storage rings

For pt.I see ibid., p.805-23. The design procedure for e/sup +/e/sup - / storage rings is presented. The basic formulae are presented which describe the effects arising from the collisions of two bunched beams. Experimental observations from existing storage rings are summarised briefly and conclusions for the design parameters of future machines are drawn. A method to determine the size of an e/sup +/e/sup -/ storage ring is discussed. The design principles of the e/sup +/e/sup -/ storage ring lattices and RF systems are presented. (53 refs).
