Neutron resonance study of a delayed neutron emitter, /sup 87/Kr
The unbound levels in /sup 87/Kr have been studied as neutron resonances up to 400 keV neutron energy at the ORELA linear electron accelerator. The observed p-wave resonances, with I/sup pi /=1/2/sup - / and 3/2/sup -/ can also be populated in the beta -decay of the 3/2 /sup -/ ground state of /sup...

Sumario: | The unbound levels in /sup 87/Kr have been studied as neutron resonances up to 400 keV neutron energy at the ORELA linear electron accelerator. The observed p-wave resonances, with I/sup pi /=1/2/sup - / and 3/2/sup -/ can also be populated in the beta -decay of the 3/2 /sup -/ ground state of /sup 87/Br. When comparing the present results with previous studies of beta -delayed neutron spectra, the authors find that almost all observed p-wave resonances can be identified with peaks in the delayed neutron spectra.
