The phenomenology of the next left-handed quarks

The observation of gamma (9.5) suggests that the -onium of at least one new quark has been discovered. The production and decays of the lowest-lying vector states is discussed. Recent observations have no indications of right-handed currents in antineutrino-nucleon scattering. The properties of new...

description The observation of gamma (9.5) suggests that the -onium of at least one new quark has been discovered. The production and decays of the lowest-lying vector states is discussed. Recent observations have no indications of right-handed currents in antineutrino-nucleon scattering. The properties of new states made of t (charge =/sup 2 ///sub 3/) or b (charge=-/sup 1///sub 3/) quarks in a model with just left-handed currents are considered. Particular attention is paid to decay modes, production by neutrinos or antineutrinos, the analogues of K/sub 0/-K/sub 0/ mixing, and CP violation. (40 refs).
