New filamentary Nb/sub 3/Sn high field superconductors
Methods for the manufacture of multifilamentary composites based on Nb /sub 3/Sn are outlined. The stability limits of such conductors and the engineering problems raised by their applications in technology, high energy physics and (eventually) fusion reactor construction, are discussed. (6 refs).
