Sumario: | Superspace is an extension of ordinary space-time. Its points are labelled not only by commuting bosonic (vectorial) co-ordinates but also in addition by anticommuting fermionic (spinorial) co-ordinates. Superspace gives a geometric picture of supersymmetry and provides a technique for finding representations of the supersymmetry algebra by fields. The author gives first a brief discussion of rigid (flat) superspace which has rigid supersymmetry as a group of motions. Then curved flexible superspace is discussed. The latter is relevant to a geometric description of supergravity. (17 refs). |
