Sumario:The nature and production of neutrinos in particle accelerators is explained and some results obtained at CERN recently in the 400 GeV proton accelerator and in the neutrino experiment region are discussed. When steps are taken to suppress all known neutrinos, pi 's and K's, by the use of a powerful absorber, (they are reduced by a factor of 1000), the particles detected are chiefly muons. The significance of these results is examined and interpreted. (4 refs).
