Parton transverse momenta and quantum-chromodynamic effects in large-p /sub T/ hadron production
Pion production at large p/sub T/ in pp collisions is studied in the parton-parton scattering model, with scaling violations via parton transverse momenta, and parton and gluon distributions constrained by QCD. CERN data are well described; Fermilab data less well so. (55 refs).
