description An upper limit of 3*10/sup -42/ E/sub nu / cm/sup 2/ per electron, at 90% confidence level, has been obtained for the cross section of the process nu /sub mu /+e/sup -/ to nu /sub mu /+e/sup -/, interpreted in the usual V-A framework, for an electron recoil energy larger than 0.3 GeV.
