Sumario: | An optical pumping apparatus has been attached to the reconstructed ISOLDE on-line mass separator at CERN in order to obtain nuclear data on isotopes far from beta stability. As first results the spins of /sup 76/Rb (T/sub 1/2/=36.8 s) and /sup 119/Cs (T/sub 1/2/=37.7 s) have been determined by beta radiation detected optical pumping ( beta -RADOP) to be I=1 and I=9/2 respectively.
