Two southern planetary nebulae: ESO 263-PN 02 and SchuWe-3
Spectroscopic observations show that two newly discovered southern objects, ESO 263-PN 02 and SchuWe-3, are planetary nebulae. ESO 263-PN 02 has a high excitation at the center and the 15/sup m/ central star is of very early type. SchuWe-3 has ring-shape, is reddened (A /sub V/ approximately 1/sup m...

Sumario: | Spectroscopic observations show that two newly discovered southern objects, ESO 263-PN 02 and SchuWe-3, are planetary nebulae. ESO 263-PN 02 has a high excitation at the center and the 15/sup m/ central star is of very early type. SchuWe-3 has ring-shape, is reddened (A /sub V/ approximately 1/sup m/) and has a low excitation and electron density in the ring. The distance is estimated between 0.6 and 5 kpc, but is probably closer to the lower value. The measured velocities are +33+or-20 and -194+or-15 km s/sup -1/, respectively. (10 refs). |
