Sumario:The detector will be installed in a magnetic spectrometer at the CERN ISR. The proportional chambers provide the essential parts of the trigger. From a total event rate of 10/sup 5//sec, the trigger has to suppress the background and to reduce the data acquisition rate to some 10/sup 2//sec. The selection is done in two steps: i) A FOR decision based on Fast OR signals from chamber planes. ii) A MOR decision based on the Memory OR of groups of 32 wires, corresponding to 64 mm geometrical resolution.
