Information on the Cost-Variation Index for 2006

This document provides information on the cost-variation index on the basis of currently available data. The document is in line with the method approved in December 2000 for calculating the Personnel budget cost-variation index (updated Staff Rules and Regulations 10th edition and taking into account the amendment approved in June 2005 regarding the list of Member States used for the calculation of the salary index ) and that approved in June 1996 for calculating the Materials budget cost-variation index. The Finance Committee is invited to take note of this information. The final document will be submitted in November or December.
