| Sumario: | The author does not attempt to cover the whole field of e$^+$e$^-$ physics, rather, a few topics are discussed which are at present of particular interest. These are: the behaviour of form factors, the characteristics of the tau lepton, the charmonium spectroscopy, charmed mesons and baryons, the T, T' family and data obtained at the new DESY storage ring PETRA on jet formation and gluon bremsstrahlung.
