| Sumario: | The various techniques for detecting subatomic particles are reviewed. The evolution of detectors in recent years is examined in the context of the increasing number of elementary particles under investigation. Specific techniques discussed include cloud chambers bubble chambers (enhanced with holographic techniques), together with wire chambers and other exotic detectors developed at CERN.
