Tau polarization at LEP

The tau polarization measurements performed at LEP are described and a summary of the current status is given. The results can be interpreted as one of the most precise determinations of the weak mixing angle sin /sup 2/ theta /sub eff//sup lept/=0.23160 +or-0.00040. (11 refs).
