description | During the ATLAS combined testbeam 2004 a full slice of the ATLAS detector was tested. For the hadron calorimeter three barrel modules, and three extended barrel modules were tested. All the Tile modules except the barrel module at the bottom were production modules. As a first step the performance of the Hadron calorimeter in a "standalone" mode has been investigated. Pions at energies from 20 to 350 GeV, and at pseudorapidities from 0.2 to 1.2 were used. The "standalone" mode was investigated by selecting pions that only started to shower in the hadronic calorimeter. The energy resolution, linearity and e/h values have been calculated. |
