The (\pi^{+}/\pi^{-}) ratio is given for the K^{+} fragmentation region. From linear combinations of the x /sub F/ distributions, the charged pion fragmentation functions are extracted. A comparison of the net charge and net strangeness distributions of the beam fragments as function of the c.m. rapidity y, gives an estimate of the charge and strangeness correlation lengths.
