Sumario: | The photo shows the progress in the installation of the experiment NA3 in the beam H8. This experiment was designed by the CERN-Orsay-Ecole Poly. Palaiseau-Paris Collège de France-Saclay Collaboration to study the hadronic production of leptons and hadrons with high transverse momentum. The beam H8 entered from the right. The photo shows on foreground the superconducting dipole magnet 3.5 m long with 1.6 m diameter cylindrical aperture and a total bending power of 4.6 T.m. The hadron/electron calorimeter (on the background) split into two sub-units allowed the trigger on the vertical component of pT. |
