Preparing for R501
A search for magnetic monopoles was carried out by the Annecy (LAPP)-CERN Collaboration at ISR. To this purpose three double layers of solid track detector (Kapton foils) were placed inside a solenoidal field in the ISR vacuum chamber. Roger Martinet stands on the centre.
