| Sumario: | In this paper some estimates concerning the sensitivity of the linear optics of the LHC to azimuthal misalignments of its main magnets are derived. By imposing upper bounds on the closed orbit correct-ability and induced beta-beating, bean dynamic targets are given for the accuracy with which the longitudinal magnetic center of the LHC magnets shall be measured and positioned in the tunnel. |
