Sumario: | A preliminary version of DCS (Detector Control System) for ATLAS RPC detectors has been implemented in the occasion of test beam H8 in 2004. Although system has been classified as â?prototypalâ it was based on the official development system and framework (PVSS-II and JCOP FrWk ver. 2.0.7), representing a real test bench for all functionalities the system was going to fulfil. Integration with a central supervisory machine and a FSM (Finite State Machine) logic have been also implemented, the former for the first one among the ATLAS DCS development groups. We describe this implementation, in both hardware and software aspects, present the main user panels and interactions with the system and we indicate guidelines for the future final implementation in ATLAS. |
