Mass measurements of R-hadrons at ATLAS.
Split-Supersymmetry and other theories beyond the Standard Model predict massive, stable hadrons, so-called R-hadrons. If such particles are detected at ATLAS, it will be of great interest to measure their mass. Using the time-of-flight method, we show that masses of 300(500) GeV/c^2 gluino R-hadron...

Sumario: | Split-Supersymmetry and other theories beyond the Standard Model predict massive, stable hadrons, so-called R-hadrons. If such particles are detected at ATLAS, it will be of great interest to measure their mass. Using the time-of-flight method, we show that masses of 300(500) GeV/c^2 gluino R-hadrons can be determined with 85 pb^-1 (1.6 fb^-1) integrated luminosity. |
