On the Possibility of Non-Neutral Antiproton Plasmas and Antiproton-Positron Plasmas

Progresses in accumulating a large number of low energy antiprotons with Antiproton Decelerator (AD), Radio Frequency Quadrupole Decelerator (RFQD), and a multiring trap in Atomic Spectroscopy And Collisions Using Slow Antiprotons (ASACUSA) enables the confinement of more than 106 antiprotons. description Progresses in accumulating a large number of low energy antiprotons with Antiproton Decelerator (AD), Radio Frequency Quadrupole Decelerator (RFQD), and a multiring trap in Atomic Spectroscopy And Collisions Using Slow Antiprotons (ASACUSA) enables the confinement of more than 106 antiprotons. Confinement of a larger number of antiprotons in the trap will result in a non‐neutral antiproton plasma. This is also favorable for the effective production of low energy antiproton beams. Possibility of an antiproton‐positron plasma is also considered in a magnetic mirror field.
