Sumario:A procedure is developed to measure the Higgs-boson mass, inclusive production cross section and width using the H -> ZZ(*) -> 4mu process is one of the cleanest channels for the discovery of the Standard Model Higgs boson in a wide range of masses, allowing at the same time a precise determination of its properties. In this note we present a measurement procedure of the Higgs boson mass, inclusive production cross-section and width using fully simulated signal and background events with the CMS experiment. A fit is performed to the distribution of the reconstructed four-muon invariant mass, including the effect of the finite resolution of the detector, the radiative tail due to internal bremsstrahlung in the final state and the background contribution. For an integrated luminosity of 30 fb^-1, the mass can be determined with a precision which ranges from 0.1% to 5.4% if the Higgs boson lies between 130 GeV and 500 GeV. The width can be measured for masses above 190 GeV with a precision between 35% and 45%. The expected accuracy in the cross-section determination is around 30%.
