Transfer Line Optics via Dimensional Beam Image Analysis

In anticipation of the 2006 transfer line tests, OTR data from the 2004 TI8 tests is analysed on a shot-to-shot basis using 2 dimensional fits to beam images obtained from the 11 OTR screens installed in the TT40/TI8 line. The fits are used to obtain the beam positions and beams sizes at all screens. Good precision and excellent shot-to-shot stability is observed. From the beam sizes, fits are performed to obtain the beam sigma matrix at the entry to the line on a shot-to-shot basis. From this the Twiss parameters at the entry to the line are obtained. These are compared with the design values.
