AA precooling pickup

The freshly injected antiprotons, while circulating on the injection orbit, were subjected to fast stochastic "precooling" for several seconds (in momentum and in the vertical plane). This precooling pickup is being readied by Gerard Laurent for installation in its tank. Precooling PUs and kickers were of identical construction (except for the kickers having cooling circuits), with C-shaped ferrites sandwiched between C-shaped metal plates and couplers at the back of the C.
