Sumario:The 'Rosy' system was developed at CERN around 1981 mainly as a teaching tool to educate engineers and technicians to the usage of microprocessors, which were then just appearing on the market. The system was roughly as powerful as an early AppleII computer, but it had a set of open interfaces to provide read-out and control of physics experiments. About 100 boxes were produced, and used also outside CERN.
