Sumario:ATLAS is a general purpouse experiment which will operate at the LHC. In the main focus of ATLAS will be the investigation of the nature of the electroweak symmetry breaking, and therefore the search for the Higgs boson. Electrons, photons, muons, tau and b-jets are important components of its possible physics signatures expected at the LHC. Thus the particle identification impose strong requirements upon the performance of the ATLAS detector system, it has to be sensitive to Higgs boson over the full range of allowed masses. In this talk, the detector performance in terms of identification of electrons, photons, muons, tau and b-tagging is presented. These results will allow ATLAS to accurately reconstruct Higgs particle mass peaks in several physics benchmark channels.
