| Sumario: | The LHC will be a W and factory. These processes will be important channels to test the SM model as well as doing precision measurements. A precise knowledge is needed for searches for new particles as these processes will be part of the backgrounds. In addition, these processes will be important physics channels to understand the detectors and its performances at start-up. In this talk an overview of the W and Z production cross section and asymmetry measurements forseen by the ATLAS and CMS experiments will be given. |
