LHC Upgrade Scenarios: Preliminary Estimations for the RF Systems

Possible scenarios for upgrading the LHC machine beyond its so-called "ultimate" performance have been proposed. We try to detail the RF system changes that could be needed and to give a resource and schedule plan to implement these changes based on data available at this time. We also identify research and development areas that are essential for all future projects again estimating the resources and times required to do this work. Finally we identify, and outline en-route, some particular experiments that can be done on existing machines to lower uncertainty when extrapolating.
