description In order to evaluate the energy deposition and radiation issues concerning the ESS accelerator, a FLUKA model of the machine has been created. The geometry of the superconducting beam line is built according to the machine optics, described in the TraceWin file and the CATIA drawings of the beam elements, using the LineBuilder tool developed at CERN. The objective is to create a flexible FLUKA model that is able to be adapted to the optimization of the optics, design modifications and machine integration constraints. Preliminary results are also presented.
