Low mass dimuon measurements in pp, p–Pb and Pb–Pb collisions with ALICE

Sumario: | We present results on the ϕ analysis in pp, p–Pb and Pb–Pb collisions at forward rapidity 2.5<y<4 with the ALICE muon spectrometer. The production cross-section of ϕ mesons is studied differentially, as a function of the transverse momentum ( p T ) in pp collisions at s=2.76 TeV and as a function of both p T and rapidity in p–Pb collisions sNN=5.02 TeV . Additionally, in p–Pb collisions we discuss the nuclear modification factor R pPb at both forward and backward rapidity. We also show the BRσϕ/(BRσρ+BRσω) ratio and the ϕ nuclear modification factor R AA measured in Pb–Pb collisions at sNN=2.76 TeV in the intermediate p T region 2<pT<5 GeV/c as a function of the collision centrality. Remarkable differences are observed in the comparison between the R AA at forward rapidity and the one measured in the same p T range at midrapidity in the hadronic decay channel ϕ→KK . |
