Study Of 9 Li-alpha Cluster States In 13B Using The Resonant Scattering Method

In order to investigate the compound nucleus 13B, the excitation function of the resonant reaction 4He(9Li,α) was measured. This measurement was carried out using the thick target inverse kinematics scattering technique, with a thick 4He gas target and a 9Li beam. The 13B energy region explored was...

Sumario:In order to investigate the compound nucleus 13B, the excitation function of the resonant reaction 4He(9Li,α) was measured. This measurement was carried out using the thick target inverse kinematics scattering technique, with a thick 4He gas target and a 9Li beam. The 13B energy region explored was in the excitation energy range 14 - 20 MeV, where 9Li-α configurations of 13B are predicted. The measured excitation function at θc.m.=180◦ shows different clear structures in a 13B excitation energy region which was experimentally unknown.
