Design of the Palmer Pickup for Stochastic Pre-Cooling of Hot Rare Isotopes at the CR
We report on the design of a Faltin type pickup for the stochastic pre-cooling of rare isotope beams at 740 MeV/u, using a bandwidth of 1-2 GHz, for the Collector Ring (CR) in the FAIR project at GSI.
