| Sumario: | In this thesis we search for a new heavy gauge boson W′ in the tau decay channel with
5 fb−1 of the 2011 CMS data at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. To seperate signal and
background several selection steps are applied and a mass limit for the extistence of a
W ′ is calculated with the Bayesian approach.
Furthermore a new selection step for better Drell-Yan suppression is examined in hope
for a better W ′ mass limit. |
