Sumario:From the data collected in the 1997 LEP run at $\sqrt{s}\approx$ 183 GeV, the 4 LEP experiments have selected in total some 3260 $e^+e^- \to W^+W^-$ candidate events. These events are used to measure the WW production cross section, the result is in agreement with the Standard Model prediction and confirms the existence of gauge cancellations through the WWZ and WW-y vertices. Combining the 1997 data with the 1996 data, the branching fractions of W decays into leptons and hadrons are measured, from which a value of the CKM matrix element IV $|V_{cd}|$ is derived. The hadronic final state of W decays is investigated in terms of charm production in W decays, track multiplicities as a possible sign of colour reconnection effects, and Bose-Einstein correlations between decay products of different W's.
