Sumario: | Silicon pixel detectors are used as the inner tracking system in many High Energy Physics experiments providing precise tracking information in the regions close to the interaction point. The upgrade of the ALICE Inner Tracking System, to be installed during the second long shutdown of the CERN LHC, is one of the pillars of the ALICE upgrade programme. In this contribution the development of the basic functional module of the detector, referred to as the Hybrid Integrated Circuits (HIC), will be presented. |
