Sumario: | The Outer Detector is an essential part of thé Delphi experiment, which is to take place at thé LEP e⁺ e⁻ collider at CERN in thé late 1980s, since it has got a major rôle in thé trigger process. Its design and building are performed through a collaboration of thé Laboratoire de Physique Nucléaire et des Hautes Energies (Paris), Rutherford Appleton Laboratory and thé University of Liverpool. The présent work is à description of thé detector layout and a study of its response and trigger efficiency, alone and correlated with its sister detector, thé Inner Detector. The choice of thé trigger and corrélation methods are explained and justified with thé help of simulation results |
