Sumario: | I review of some of the recent developments in the field of classical General Relativity in
dimension D> 4, and in particular its vacuum black hole solutions. These black holes are
proving to have properties rather different from their four-dimensional counterparts, the Schwarzschild and Kerr black holes and a number of qualitatively new solutions and phenomena have begun to be uncovered. Still one feels that we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg. |
